April Meeting to Discuss Homeless Issues & #WeToo

Please join us for April’s meeting. It will include a panel discussion on the homeless and an introduction to #WeToo from Christina Prejean.

Date: Thursday, April 5, 2018

Time: 6 p.m.

Location: Pacific Beach Recreation Center

Featured speakers: A panel discussion on the homeless; and PBDC member Christina Prejean about #WeToo.

Panel discussion on the homeless: A variety of speakers knowledgeable of issues related to homelessness.

Christina Prejean on #WeToo: “We are excited to create a unified voice for our progressive values, and to bring us all together in this forum. There are two purposes for #WeToo: (1) First, is for political candidates who are progressive and have the heart and passion for serving their communities and making their communities better through elected office, but who may not have the financial means and are running grassroots campaigns, and for us to really provide support for them; and (2) Second, for us as a community to get more involved politically and truly understand our electoral system-endorsements, delegate process, etc.”

Be sure and join us this month as we prepare for the upcoming primaries and join in to discuss the issues most important to our club. Our meetings are held at the Pacific Beach Recreation Center on Diamond Street. Members are encouraged to bring a snack to share as well. We hope to see you there!
